The Killers star Brandon Flowers has formed a Sin City super duo for his upcoming solo record, FLAMINGO, after inviting fellow Las Vegas native Jenny Lewis to join him in the studio.
The Human singer reveals that he and the Rilo Kiley star worked on a few songs together, and they'll duet on a track called Hard Enough on the album.
He tells British music magazine NME, "She's always popped into my mind whenever I think about getting a female vocalist involved because she's a fellow child of Las Vegas. A lot of people don't realise that, but she was actually born there - in the same hospital as (The Killers bandmate) Ronnie Vannucci, Jr., only a few weeks apart!"
And Flowers is insisting his new solo release won't mean the end for his band.
He adds, "To be honest, I personally would prefer it if this was a Killers record. Some of these songs were originally destined to be Killers songs, but it is what it is.
"I see this as something that will only make The Killers stronger. I feel like I'm getting something out of my system with this album, but I want the next Killers album to be a wonderful collaboration between four guys who are ready to make the best record that they possibly can."
