Truck Festival 2013, Line Up Announcement The Horrors Plus Many More

The Horrors To Headline Saturday Night At Truck Festival 2013
Also Confirmed: Ash + Gaz Coombes + Dan Le Sac V Scroobius Pip + Rolo Tomassi + Dry the River + Toy + Tall Ships + Gunning For Tamar + More

After last year's sold out return, we are pleased to say that Early Bird tickets for Truck Festival 2013, which will take place on Friday 19th & Saturday 20th July at Hill Farm, Steventon, have already sold out. General sale tickets are now available priced £74 from our new website at www.truckfestival.com and in person from Truck Store, 101 Cowley Road, Oxford.

Drum roll... and here come the bands! It's that who's-playing-Truck time again.

We are very excited to announce that The Horrors will headline on the Saturday night, Faris Badwan and co making their first appearance on the Truck stage. 2011's 'Skying' album and the recent remix set 'Higher' have established the band as one of the most creative and exciting outfits around, and we think tunes like 'Still Life' will sound epic blasting from the stage on a summer evening beneath the stars.

Many of us had 2009's Truck as one of the best line-ups ever; one of the headliners that year, Ash, return with their sackful of 3-minute gems, while Supergrass main man and Oxford legend Gaz Coombes joins us with his acclaimed Here Come The Bombs project. Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip headline The Market Stage on Saturday, and they must be one of the most-requested bands ever at Truck, only now making their debut at the festival. We welcome Dry The River to headline The Market Stage on Friday, now established as a much-loved and powerful live act.

Last year the Barn was back (loudly). It's only going to get louder this year as Rolo Tomassi headline The Barn on Saturday. After last year's successful Barn-based mayhem, The BSM/Alcopop Takeover returns with the excellent Tall Ships alongside Gunning For Tamar, Crash Of Rhinos, Stagecoach, Axes, the Social Club and Salvation Bill. They have some surprises in store, we suspect.

Elsewhere on the lineup we have scoured the world for music to thrill and delight: internet sensations Lewis Watson and Jack Martello, Heavenly Records signings Toy, Placebo drummer Steve Forrest's project Planes, and many more:

The Bots, Ady Suleiman, Brother & Bones, The Computers, Wet Nuns, Arcane Roots, Max Raptor and The Physics House Band, The Family Rain, Fight Like Apes.

That's all for now - more, including Friday's main stage headliner, to follow soon.
