Rapper The Game gave his young son a treat at the BET Awards in Hollywood last night (28JUN05) when he brought him onstage during a duet with MARY J BLIGE.

The Los Angeles tough guy showed his soft side as he held his son in his arms while he performed a rendition of his hit HATE IT OR LOVE IT with Blige.

The duet was one of many magical performances at the awards show - THE Fugees opened the night with a 12-minute medley, John Legend performed with Stevie Wonder and DESTINY'S CHILD stunned the crowd in sexy chocolate-coloured gowns and then stopped the show to bring audience members TERRENCE (corr) HOWARD, Nelly and basketball icon EARVIN 'MAGIC' JOHNSON up on stage with them.

Actor Howard shook his head in disbelief as he sat on a stool while BEYONCE KNOWLES sang CATER 2 U to him and then fanned himself as the sexy singer danced seductively around him.

Nelly was transfixed by his former duet partner Kelly Rowland, who was once romantically linked to the rapper.
