Jil Sander have opted out of Milan Fashion Week and will hold two independent shows instead.
Jil Sander will not show at Milan Fashion week.
The Fashion house - who saw its founder return to the helm in April - have decided to hold two shows independently, rather than be included in the calendar for the annual Italian event, which runs from September 19 to 25.
Jil recently vowed to star true to ''the importance of the quality and of respecting heritage'' with her first womenswear collection since returning to the company after seven years.
She added: ''That is why it's so important to express this idea of the value in the design. We want to make essential clothes, clothes where you understand what the value is and why you pay more.
''Now I have more skills and more experience and we're in a different moment. Maybe it was good, maybe it was my destiny, that joint venture world and the time away.''
The designer founded the house in 1968, but left in 2004 after disagreement with new owners, the Prada group.
Jil - who most recently collaborated with Japanese high-street label Uniqlo - received rave reviews for her spring/summer 2012 menswear collection in Milan in June.
