The Dukes of Hazzard star John Schneider has agreed to pay off a tax debt in its entirety after falling behind on payments.
The actor, who played Bo Duke in the 1980s TV series, and his wife were recently hit with a demand from California officials for more than $28,000 (£18,700) in delinquent taxes. The lien was filed against the couple in Los Angeles in May (10).
Schneider has blamed the tax troubles on a former accountant and promised to settle the debt.
He tells the Detroit News, "This is actually something that fell through the cracks when our old bookkeeper left us high and dry. I spoke to our tax guy this morning and plan to write a check to pay the tax debt in its entirety this week."
