The-Dream turned himself in, in New York on Wednesday.
Top music producer The-Dream, who has worked with Rihanna and Beyonce, has turned himself into police for allegedly assaulting his then-pregnant girlfriend Lydia Nam at The Plaza, police sources told the New York Post.

Nam was eight months pregnant when she was attacked inside her room at the hotel on April 4, 2012. Dream - real name Terius Nash - allegedly choked his girlfriend with a necklace before punching and kicking her in the stomach, according to sources who spoke with the Post.
Nam reported the assault to police the following year, in November 2013. The-Dream turned himself in this morning at 8.30am at the Midtown North precinct station house and had a lawyer present. He has been charged with assault, strangulation and reckless endangerment.
Dream is responsible for co-writing some of the world's most famous songs, including Beyonce's Single Ladies and Rihanna's Umbrella. He has three children with his first wife Nivea, as well as a daughter with his second wife Christina Milian. Nam had the pair's son following the attack.
Dream's people are yet to comment on the case though it is known that the producer was still in custody by Wednesday afternoon.
