The woman who adapted The Devil Wears Prada for the big screen has been commissioned to revamp Emma Thompson's first draft for Jay Z and Will Smith's Annie musical.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, writer Aline Brosh MCKenna will put the finishing touches to the screenplay for the project, which is being billed as a hip-hop remake of the beloved family musical.
Smith and Jay Z are producing the film, which will star Smith's daughter Willow as the singing orphan.
The actor will have his fifth outing as the secret agent in 'Spectre' this November.
