Fashion comedy The Devil Wears Prada went straight to the top of UK box office last weekend (06-08OCT06).
The movie adaptation of LAUREN WEISBERGER's best-selling novel took GBP3.3 million ($5.9 million), knocking last week's (29SEP-01OCT06) number one CLICK down to third place.
Martin Scorsese's critically-acclaimed thriller THE DEPARTED, starring Leonardo Dicaprio, Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon, debuted in second place with GBP2.3 million ($4.1 million).
The only other new entry in the top ten this week was teen movie ACCEPTED, starring DODGEBALL's Justin Long, at eight.
