Canadian rockers The Dears have had their tour bus stolen by thieves.
The band were gearing up to head out on the road on Thursday (30Apr09) when their driver discovered the vehicle had vanished.
But the Montreal natives are thanking their lucky stars - because they hadn't loaded their equipment onto the bus.
Playing down the incident, frontman Murray Lightburn says, "It's not really that big a deal. It could have been so much worse."
And the singer is confident the oversized bus will soon be found by police: "It's just so odd that a whole 45-foot vehicle with a broken window would just disappear completely into thin air. I can't even imagine where they would park that thing - there's not many garages that you can bring something like that to."
The Dears were forced to rent a replacement so they could make it to their first gig in Toronto on Thursday night.
