MovieClips, which has licensed the use of thousands of key scenes from movies, said today (Wednesday) that it has signed a deal with Google to make more than 20,000 clips available via its YouTube service. Terms of The Deal were not disclosed. In a statement, MovieClips co-founder, Richard Raddon said, "Our goal is to promote the Discovery of movies. ... By making our clips accessible on the biggest video platform on the web, we unlock the power of movie clips to promote feature film purchase and rental."
