Consumers who have purchased an Apple TV settop box will soon be able to connect to their favorite CW Network shows via an onscreen app. CNET quoted a CW spokesperson as saying, We can confirm that we will have an app launching on Apple TV soon. ... The app will have full episodes of our primetime shows, and be ad-supported, without requiring authentication from a cable provider. The shows will be available the day after they air, the network said. Neither the CW nor Apple have disclosed when the online pact will become effective. The Deal marks the first such partnership with a television network, although Apple has struck similar streaming deals with Netflix and Hulu.
