Featuring all the hallmarks of Idlewild guitarist/songwriter Rod Jones biting indie riffs and an infectious summery choruses, The Birthday Suit release the new single and accompanying video for 'Less Worthless Years.'
The video is a day in the life of a family of clowns; centred around the less the jovial younger daughter as her day pans out and gradually places a smile on her face. It serves as a fitting visual of the upbeat tracks, which will only serve to do the same to you as it does to the young clown and put a smile on your face.
The single will be made available on iTunes this Monday (July 9th), however if you buy it via the band's official website and register for the mailing list, fans will receive a free EP full of songs from Rod's first solo record, A Sentimental Education, which has been reworked and "noised up" by The Birthday Suit.
The track will also feature on the as yet untitled second album from the group, being planned for an Autumn 2012 release date. In the meantime The Birthday Suit will be playing live throughout June and July to promote the single, with full tour dates on the band's official website.
