The Bachelorette contestant Bentley Williams quit the show during Monday night's episode, citing his disappointment that Emily Maynard was not the star of this year's series. Bentley confessed that he was less than overawed with current Bachelorette Ashley Hebert, admitting he wasn't even attracted to her, reports ABC News.
Speaking to the cameras after his decision to leave the show, Bentley said, "Ashley's a sweet girl, but there's no question that Ashley doesn't have the check list that I am looking for in a future wife", adding, "I can tell you right now it's not going to work. I have to be honest with you I could almost care less. Things could have turned out differently if the Bachelorette was Emily". Hebert had initially seemed smitten with Williams, describing him as "everything I am looking for", adding, "There's no doubt in my mind my heart is with Bentley right now". Once Bentley had left the Bachelorette house, Ashley was heard crying, "Why? Why? Why?", before claiming, "My heart is totally broken". Elsewhere on Monday's episode, 26-year-old Hebert admitted to feeling "beat up" and vulnerable" after a number of contestants had made disparaging remarks about her body.
The Bachelorette, which traditionally stars the runner-up from the reality dating series 'The Bachelor', is currently in its seventh season. Last year's Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky is reportedly set to marry her 'Bachelor' ROBERTO MARTINEZ.
