The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard is faced with drama everyday as she seeks to find a husband, though it seems things are just as tense behind the scenes of the ABC show. According to US Weekly magazine, Maynard is currently feuding with her daughter Ricki's grandparents.

The parents of her deceased fiance Ricky Hendricks are unhappy about Emily's decision to star in the reality show, with one insider saying, "When Emily went on The Bachelor, they weren't pleased, but they supported her.Now they're not speaking. They don't want their grandchild in the spotlight. They are private people". It was initially claimed that Maynard's insistence to shoot the show in her hometown of Charlotte - rather than Los Angeles - was to be close to daughter Ricki, though the source claims this was actually to pacify her in-laws. The insider added, "They didn't want Ricki uprooted. They also wanted Ricki kept out of the spotlight, not exploited".

Maynard split from 'The Bachelor' Brad Womack in June 2011, with the source claiming "she got difficult", insisting, "She is painted in this Mother Teresa light. She is a nice girl, but she isn't as good as she's made out to be". The current season of The Bachelorette hit controversy last week, after one of the contestants referred to Emily's daughter as "baggage".
