The website TVbytheNumbers, which tracks audience data for broadcast and cable, has been suggesting this week that the number of viewers for some individual TV shows posted online comes close to or is greater than the number for all of the shows combined offered by Hulu, the website owned by Disney/ABC, NBC/Universal, and Fox/News Corp. On Monday, it noted that reruns of The Andy Griffith Show on the TVLand website, generated nearly as many accesses in July as all of Hulu's programs that month. On Wednesday it reported that during the single week of July 19-25,'s Spongebob Squarepants accounted for more viewing minutes than Hulu's for the entire month.
