The Afghan Whigs star Greg Dulli served drinks at a bar after the group disbanded in 2001.
The U.S. rockers split after 15 years together, citing family commitments for the break-up, and despite occasional mini-reunions it was 10 years before they officially reformed.
Now Dulli has revealed that in addition to pursuing work with his side project The Twilight Singers, he also took a job as a bartender during the lengthy hiatus.
He tells Uncut magazine, "After the Whigs were over I didn't pick up my guitar for a year. I worked at the bar. Did a lot of drugs. It doesn't matter because I did it and it's done... Some people knew it was me bartending. Some people didn't."
