Thandie Newton turned down CHARLIE'S ANGELS so she could play a small part in her husband OL PARKER's independent film IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. The screen beauty knew accepting a part in the 2000 blockbuster would mean instant stardom, but she preferred to support her spouse instead. She says, "I'd been away for a long time doing MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE II and he had written a film that meant a lot to him, and I'd always said I'd play a small role in it. "The dates had been changing, then suddenly Charlie's Angels was happening and Ol's film was happening too. "He didn't say, 'Don't do that,' he was just gutted. And I thought, 'This isn't important enough.' "I married him and I value that more than I value becoming a star."
