Scottish rockers Texas are planning to go on tour to celebrate guitarist Alistair Mcerlaine's miraculous recovery from a brain haemorrhage.
The musician collapsed in September (09) and spent a month in an intensive care unit following an operation in London.
He was taken off a life support machine in October (09) and is now "fighting fit", according to frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri.
The singer revealed plans to record a new album earlier this year (10), with MCErlaine pushing for the band to head back into the studio.
And now the musicians are getting set to go back on tour with the full line-up early next year (11), according to Scotland's Daily Record.
A source tells the publication, "We were told that it would be unlikely that Ally would be able to take another tour. Initially, everyone was praying he would pull through but now it seems he has made huge strides. Of course he will be in the line-up if he wants to be. It's what we would all want and the latest (news) is that's on the cards.
"The details of the tour haven't been laid out yet but the band will be rehearsing at the end of the year or early next year and it will be great to have Ally on board."
A representative for the band says, "The plans are there. It's an idea but there's nothing set in stone yet."
