Texas frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri is against the idea of her native Scotland becoming independent from the rest of Britain as she's convinced the country would struggle to survive in the current economic climate.
Ewan MCGregor and Billy Connolly are among the stars who have already voiced their opposition to next year's (14) historic referendum, and now Spiteri has revealed she does not want Scotland to operate as a self-sufficient nation.
The rocker is worried the country will struggle to stay "afloat" as it lacks the resources needed.
She tells Scotland's Daily Record, "As far as I'm concerned, I'm British. And, yeah, I'm Scottish but I feel I'm part of the U.K. I think it's very important to have a Scottish government who make decisions for Scotland but I can't understand how Scotland would survive independently.
"We don't have the resources - like oil and gas - we'd need to keep Scotland afloat. And to me, if you can't survive, then what's the point of breaking away?"
