We're actually looking forward to this re-boot.
After the rather meagre success of 2015's 'Terminator Genisys', it does seem rather a courageous move to launch yet another sequel so soon in its wake. But the forthcoming sixth installment actually looks promising, and the very first image from the production has just been unveiled by Paramount.
Linda Hamilton at Comic Con
Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning to the cast as the lead cybernetic organism, though if 'Terminator Genisys' is anything to go by that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be as good is the original, but the fact that Linda Hamilton is back as Sarah Connor is super exciting.
Terminator - While Arcimboldo's work lives on to this day in various museums, Enrique's sculptures are unequivocally ephemeral and now only survive through photographic documentation.... - New York, New York, United States - Friday 24th April 2015
'Terminator: Genisys' completely re-writes the events of 'The Terminator'.
Arnold Schwarzenegger returns for 'Terminator: Genisys'
The whole story that Kyle relayed to Sarah about his journey back in time from 2029 after being assigned the mission of protecting her by her future son John Connor is brought to life in 'Terminator: Genisys', and while you're sitting there thinking you know what happens next (we've all seen 1984's original flick 'The Terminator'), 'Genisys' turns everything you know onto its head.
'Terminator: Genisys' will hopefully right the wrongs of 'Salvation'.
Terminator Salvation was a disaster. We know that, you know that, everyone knows that. In fact, it's a miracle that Warner Brothers managed to pull in $371 million given the storyline was completely incoherent.
Arnold Schwarzenegger did not appear in Terminator: Salvation - though he returns for next year's Genisys
Directed by the hapless McG, the movie starred Christian Bale and Sam Worthington and used time travel as a key plot element. It speaks volumes that Bale's now infamous on-set rant at director of photography Shane Hurlbut was the most talked about thing during the promotion of the movie.
'Terminator: Genisys' will be released in 2015
Arnold Schwarzenegger will be reprising his role as the Terminator next year
Schwarzenegger is due to reprise his role in the new film, which is not due for release until 2015, and he spilt the name of the new film via his Instagram page as he thanked the cast and crew after production of the reboot had finished earlier this week.

Arnold Schwarzenegger at The Last Stand premiere in London.
The James Cameron films follow, for anyone who hasn't visited earth anytime in the last 30 years, the adventures of John Connor. Initially only a glint in his father's eye, Connor is pursued by an assortment of robot assassins from the future. The first robot was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger who has appeared, some form or the other, in every Terminator film since.
It's likely he will make an appearance in the forthcoming film. His likeness was featured in special effects form in the last film, Terminator Salvation, starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. Schwarzenegger has much bigger things going on at the time: bizarrely being the Republican Governor of California. His term ended in 2011 so he is now free from public duties, should he wish to be involved.
What with Jake Schreier's upcoming movie 'Robot & Frank' scheduled for release in the UK on March 8th 2013 and talks of 'Star Wars: Episode VII' being in the making, we've put together a list of what we think are the best robots that we've ever seen on screen. This is with the exception of cyborgs, human-looking robots, cybernetic organisms and bots from TV programs because, let's face it, we'd be here forever.
