Desperate Housewives may be coming to an end, but it would seem that the off-screen drama still rumbles on. Even aside from the Nicollette Sheridan court case that has been widely publicized, it appears that the rift between Teri Hatcher and her fellow female leads has been widening, with Hatcher being notably absent from the show's wrap party, the Hollywood Reporter revealed, as well as the more public farewell party held at Hollywood's Hotel W.
Celebuzz got hold of the parting gifts that the lead actresses had bought for the crew members as a farewell. The Soren luggage that they'd purchased for their colleagues had a message attached which read "Just know that on all your future adventures you are carrying a little piece of our love and gratitude. Thank you for a magical 8 years. Eva, Marcia, Felicity and Vanessa." No sign of Teri's name on the joint thank you. A production source told Celebuzz "The girls don't get along with Teri so they organized this and left her out." It is unclear exactly what has caused the gulf in their girls' friendships, though it has been suggested that Hatcher's nose was put out of joint when her role ceased to have the prominence that it did in the first series. In a recent email to TV Guide, Hatcher said "I will never disclose the true and complicated journey of us all, but I wish everyone on this show well."
Elsewhere, Nicollette Sheridan has been given a date for her retrial. She accused the show's producer MARC CHERRY of striking her over the head during rehearsals and also attempted to sue ABC for wrongful dismissal. The original trial ended in stalemate; now she will go through the process once more in September 2012.
