The 24 year-old singer knows her dance moves aren't the best, but she could care less.
As well as winning multiple music honours, Taylor Swift is also known for something else when she appears at music award shows. Whilst the 24 year-old singer isn't performing or presenting, she is known for being regularly filmed, without realizing, awkwardly dancing.
Swift often dances very awkwardly at music award shows
Swift finally opened up about her questionable dance moves during an appearance on NBC's 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' on Thursday (Aug 14th), and explained that it is how she deals with nerves while being surrounded by so many A-Listers.
"I used to get really nervous at awards shows because, seemingly, they're a huge pressure cooker. And everybody seems to be sitting there trying to look more unaffected by being at this awards show than the next person next to them," she told the talk show host. "That can have an effect on you, and so you're in the front row and you're sitting there like, 'Maybe I should sit here like this.'"
However, Swift's attitude changed rather quickly, and instead of worrying about herself, she decided to be carefree and enjoy the night's festivities.
"A couple years ago I just decided, 'No. This is the coolest concert you could ever go to," the 'Red' hit maker said. "This is like all these incredible acts playing their biggest songs and I get to be front row and I'm going to dance during this because I feel like it-and not because it looks cool, because it doesn't.'"
As the 2014 MTV Music Awards approach (August 24th), only time will tell if Swift brings out any new awkward dace moves.
