The prestigious accolade is only given to those who have made a top 30 hit single. Swift has in fact released a whopping 14 top 30 songs in the period between July 2012 and June 2013. Her latest album Red was release in October 2012 which gave some of Swift's biggest singles to date with 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,' '22' and 'I Knew You Were Trouble.'
Her album's success was bolstered by a huge 'Red' worldwide tour which will include a freshly announced five-date mini-residency at London's O2 Arena. This year she also broke the record for the most sell-out shows at Los Angeles' Staples Center - 11 to be precise - beating Madonna, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.
What's Around The Corner For The Talented Star?
Swift's mega sixth win has beaten the previous records of five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson. Her six awards will soon be on display at the Taylor Swift Education Center, which opens Saturday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville after the singer donated $4 million to the project. Swift will also apparently be involved in an advisory capacity, helping to nurture young talent.
