Taylor Swift has opened up about her rumoured collaboration with Kanye West, saying he’s “got a lot of amazing ideas” but denying that the project had gotten off the ground.

Swift and West were photographed chatting at the Grammy Awards back in February, seeming like they’d buried the hatchet over the infamous incident at the VMAs in 2009 when Kanye interrupted her acceptance speech.

Later that month, West stated in an interview with Ryan Seacrest that he and the country-turned-pop star were “going into the studio together”. However, while chatting to ET Online, Swift said that the collaboration was still in its very early days.

“He has said that,” she replied when asked about the song. “We've never been in a studio together, but, he's got a lot of amazing ideas.” We assume that whatever they make won’t be available in time for Kanye’s new LP So Help Me God, which is currently being finished but is due for release by the end of the year.

“He's one of those people that's just like idea, idea, idea,” she continued. “He's very creative and… I think we've talked about it but we've also talked about so many other things. I completely respect him as a producer. So, that's all I know now.”

Swift is about to embark on a world tour in support of her recent album 1989, which is still tearing up charts around the world more than six months after its release. Later in the interview, speculated as to the sound of her next LP, suggesting that she’d go for something “different”.

“With 1989, I love this album so much that I think it’d be doing a real disservice to try and copy it the next time around," the 25 year old star admitted. "I think it’s going to have to be something very different, creatively.”
