Yes, according to CNN the singer made the move in order to simply beat others to the punch when the ‘suggestive’ domain names become available on June 1st. That’s right, in a few months and for a bit of cash you’ll be able to add .porn to whatever you like on the internet! Provided someone else hasn't had the idea first.

The nonprofit group Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers are making the .porn and .adult domains available, as part of an attempt to expand the number of generic top-level domains beyond the popular .com and .net.

Before the controversial names become available to everyone in June public figures and companies are currently being given the chance to register them before anyone else can. Also soon available will be .sucks and it’ll be interesting to see which celebs rush to register that one.

But it’s not just Swift who’s taken action to prevent their good name being associated with a ‘sexy’ domain, Microsoft Office has also registered Office.porn and Office.adult. Of course purchasing the domains doesn't come cheap and according to AdWeek they can cost up to $2,500 to register.
