Country singer Taylor Swift is set to become the latest star to launch a clothing line after teaming up with Jones Apparel Groups L.E.I. brand to create a range of budget sundresses. The collection will launch in Wal-Mart stores next month (Feb09).
The stylish teen says, "It was very important for me to create cute, affordable dresses, especially in these hard times. Making expensive dresses just doesnt make any sense."
But the Love Story singer insists she doesn't plan on becoming a part-time designer: "I like people who have worked their entire lives to become designers. I think that they have their place as designers and I have my place as a musician, and I'm going to pretty much stick to that."
Swift will also be the face of L.E.I.'s spring and autumn ad campaign.
