Country music has taken over the U.S. album charts a week before Taylor Swift is set to debut at number one, with Jason Aldean, Scotty Mccreery and Jamey Johnson landing top five entries.

Aldean rockets to number one with Night Train, scoring 409,000 first-week sales and toppling Mumford & Son's Babel after three weeks atop the Billboard 200.

Brandy's Two Eleven debuts at three and MCCreery and Johnson round out the new top five.

MCCreery's Christmas With Scotty MCCreery is the first 2012 festive release to reach the top 10, but the American Idol winner faces holiday sales competition from Cee Lo Green and fellow country star Blake Shelton, who both have Christmas-flavoured albums heading for the charts.
