Taylor Swift has collected two Grammy awards at this year's 54th Grammy Awards, for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song. The awards were presented to Swift for her song 'Mean', which she told reporters "really meant the world to me" and that she wrote the song when she was "really, really hurting."
Accepting her award, she thanked the audience, saying that she found it "unbelievable" and added "I am so happy right now." She also jokingly thanked everyone in the audience that clapped when she won. This was perhaps a reference to the time that Kanye West disrupted her VMA win in 2009. When Taylor won the award for Best Female Video in 2009, her acceptance speech was interrupted by Kanye West, who took Swift's microphone from her, and said "Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!
Swift collected two awards at the pre-televised section of the awards event. Her album Speak Now is also nominated for Best Country Album. Adele has won Best Short Form Music Video, for 'Rolling in the Deep' and Best Pop Vocal Album for 21. The London-based star is hotly tipped to take home the Album of the Year award and will be performing live for the first time since she had surgery on her vocal cords.
