Violet and her friends, Heather and Rose, are students at the formerly all-male Seven Oaks University. Their mission, while they are students there, is to rid the campus of the 'male barbarism' that is still around. They also run the suicide prevention centre, where they help depressed students with the aid of donuts and tap dancing.

On a cold, beautiful, New York winter night, Tom Townsend (Edward Clements) walks down a Manhattan street in a raincoat. By accident, he bumps into a pack of NY upper-crust college student by trying to get the same cab they were going for (where would film be without this coincidental bump-in?). The group seems to be led by the charming and overly cynical Nick Smith (Christopher Eigeman), but in fact the group is an entity, in and of itself. By assuming he's for another Manhattan socialite, the group accepts Tom as one of their own, connected only by a girl he dated through letters, Serena Slocum (Elizabeth Thomas). Nick pontificates on their privileged lives and the evil Rick Von Sloneker (Will Kempe) while Tom ignores the obvious crush of Audrey (Carolyn Farina), who seems to be the group's only level-headed girl. Adding to this, Audrey is coyly pursued by Charlie (Taylor Nichols), the group's obvious book-smart member who hates that Tom is as smart as him yet seems not to boast about it so much. We follow the film through winter break as the group attends several different social events, which include a verbal stand-off between Rick and Nick and Tom's slow drift from Serena to Audrey.

This film appears to be a rough fictionalization of the tale, though the goings-on inside the joint are clearly made up. A man (Raymond J. Barry, a chunky version of David Caruso, credited only as "Man") arrives in a quiet strip club with few patrons, then promptly proceeds to rob the place, accidentally killing the bartender in the process. Man panics, taking the lone dancer and patrons hostage, then forces them all to spill their darkest secrets, or humiliating them some way or another. By the time it's all said and done, our Man has made off with wallets, watches, and the proprietor's head... and some amazing stories.

Barcelona tracks two cousins, one a straight-laced salesman, the other an easygoing naval officer, along with their various love interests and unintended involvement with political intrigue. On one hand, this film is a success. The dichotomy of American and Spanish culture is fun to watch, as they are extremely different on every level--political, musical, sexual.

Boiler Room is the story of Seth (Ribisi), a 19-year-old college dropout obsessed with the American dream of easy money. After concluding rather quickly that college isn't necessarily the fast track to a quick buck, he opens up an underground casino out of his house in Queens, providing a popular service for the local city college kids. After his disapproving father (Rifkin) finds out about the casino, Seth, feeling a repressed need to gain his father's approval, looks into an opportunity to become a stockbroker at the small firm of J.T. Marlin.

A Generation X cautionary tale about greed and impatience, "Boiler Room" is a sharp-edged, adrenaline-driven movie that takes place in the eat-or-be-eaten world of crooked stock trading.
Populated by 25-year-old, overnight millionaires who wear their testosterone on the sleeves of their tailored Armani suits, this is an imposing, vigorous and pulsating picture that could have been mighty and portentous if writer-director Ben Younger hadn't cribbed half the script from "Wall Street" and "Glengarry Glen Ross."
Giovanni Ribisi ("The Mod Squad") plays an unscrupulous college dropout looking to make a quick buck with an underground casino he runs from his rented row house. But he starts seeing much bigger dollar signs when a newly-rich (and Ferrari-driving) acquaintance recruits him to cold-call moneyed suckers and pitch them investments for his suspicious brokerage startup.
