Japanese police have banned Russian pop duo Tatu from recording a pop video in Tokyo - for fear the lesbians will cause chaos in the city.

Eurovision Song Contest flops Julia Volkova and LENA KATINA, currently in Japan for a brief promotional tour, hoped to film the promo for their third single in two of Tokyo's busiest shopping districts on Sunday (29JUN03), but police feared the filming would bring the city to a standstill.

Tatu had planned to use hundreds of extras for the shoot in the Akihabara and Ginza districts, which are traffic-free areas on Sundays.
