'The Girl That Played with Fire' will now not be ready for a 2013 release as the script has not been completed.
'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' sequel will not be released in 2013 as first thought.
The movie - entitled 'The Girl Who Played with Fire' - was originally intended to hit cinemas next year, but a source has confirmed to EW.com The Script for the thriller is still being worked on and nothing will start until that has been completed.
David Fincher is also thought to be back on board as the director of the picture, but it has not yet been confirmed.
The first movie was a remake of the Swedish film starring Noomi Rapace, who has since gone on to star in the 'Sherlock Homes' follow-up and 'Alien' prequel 'Prometheus', despite knowing no English just a few years ago.
