Fact: Hip-hop icon Talib Kweli is to be honoured for his career achievements by New York's Brooklyn Music School. The I Try hitmaker will be one of three special guests at the community institution's 100th anniversary celebrations, where the Brooklyn native will be feted alongside jazz bassist Bill Lee and singer Barbara King. The 1 November (12) event will double as a fundraiser to boost donations for the non-profit performing arts school.
Fact: Ryan Gosling is set to narrate a documentary about today's youth disinterest in social and political issues. Rapper Talib Kweli will also appear in Phillip Montgomery's ReGENERATION.
