Talia Balsam, the American actress who recently starred on 'Without a Trace' and alongside Jon Hamm on 'Mad Men', could be George Clooney's first and only wife, according to the actor himself. The couple were married between 1989 and 1993 and during an interview on Piers Morgan's new show on Friday (21st January 2011) Clooney suggested that he would never walk down the aisle again.
The actor appeared alongside his father Nick Clooney on Morgan's new show, who said he "yearned for the moment" when his son would wed his current girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis. However, the 49-year-old star of 'The American' retorted with, "I hate to blow your whole news story, but I was married, so I gave it a shot". Clooney has been dating 32-year-old model Canalis since 2009 and in a recent issue of Italian Vanity Fair she said, "There are some people who just don't want to see me happy. George reassures me all the time. He is very close. I feel more embraced than ever before".
Morgan has impressed with his early A-list bookings for his new show; Clooney follows Oprah Winfrey, Ricky Gervais and Howard Stern who have so far faced his often personal questioning.
