The death of Sage Stallone remains a mystery with toxicology tests now having been ordered for the eldest son of action film actor, director and writer Sylvester Stallone. Stallone junior was found dead on Friday, whilst at the same time his father was away with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Comic-Con promoting his new film 'The Expendables 2'. Upon hearing the news, Stallone senior was said to be "devastated and grief-stricken", which must have meant that he found out after his visit to the convention where he seemed enthusiastic in a session with his fans.
The LA County Coroner's Office has since said that it will be awaiting the results from the toxicology report before compiling its report on his death. Sage was discovered by his housekeeper at his Studio City home; there were reportedly no suggestions of foul play and no suicide was left, but a security hold has been placed on the case.
Never quite as successful as his father, Sage nevertheless made a career for himself in film and TV as well, appearing in 10 other movies and short films after first starring as Rocky Balboa Jr. in the 1990 film 'Rocky V'. "Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man," said Sylvester's publicist, Michelle Bega. "His loss will be felt forever."
