Patrick Duffy Wants To Reunite With Suzanne Somers For Step By Step Special

Patrick Duffy Suzanne Somers

Actor Patrick Duffy has called on Tv bosses to reunite him with his former onscreen wife Suzanne Somers for a Step By Step special.

The 64-year-old star is pushing for a reboot of the 1990s family sitcom, in which he and Somers played single parents who spontaneously marry and end up with a large, blended family.

He tells The Hollywood Reporter, "I would love to work with Suzanne again. The Step By Step cast was so wonderful to be with. They were my family and I think a little two-hour special about where these people are - not a documentary, but actually doing a show - seeing where they all come to (sic) over the years. It would be so fun to play that goofy Frank Lambert character again, ageing another 25 years."

Cancer Survivor Suzanne Somers Sporting New Set Of Breasts

Suzanne Somers

Cancer survivor Suzanne Somers is sporting a new set of breasts after going under the knife for stem cell reconstruction.

The actress was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer in 2000 and she later underwent a lumpectomy to remove the malignant tumour.

The former Three's Company star tells People magazine, "My jaw dropped when they (the medics) took the bandages off. Sixty-five per cent of my breast was gone. I had a DD on one side, and on the other side I could barely fill a B cup... My breasts were a huge part of my career... I had these beautiful breasts, which I had never appreciated. Then I looked down and went, 'Oh!' That was hard."

Embarrassed by her new lopsided silhouette, Somers began wearing a prosthetic - but even that had its downfalls.

American Graffiti Review

Excellent
The Star Wars prequels have tarnished his rep a little, but give him his due --- George Lucas once understood the possibilities and limitations of film like few others. Lucas' second feature film, American Graffiti, was a self-assured gem that established him as a major director (though a lot of studios still didn't want to bankroll Star Wars, proving that studio execs weren't any smarter in the seventies than they are now).

A cinematic collection of slightly exaggerated memories from Lucas' senior year in high school (1962), Graffiti was well-timed; it caught a wave of fifties nostalgia that would crest with Happy Days, Grease, etc. While the iconoclasm of the sixties and seventies would continue to take youth culture in a very different direction, Graffiti helped spark a cultural backlash (or at least a flashback) after the free-love/acid-rock/anti-war era.
