Piers Morgan was 'gagged' by his 'Good Morning Britain' colleague Susanna Reid as they appeared at the NTAs - for which Reid was cheered.
The increasingly controversial Piers Morgan was booed as he and his ‘Good Morning Britain’ colleague Susanna Reid appeared at the National Television Awards to present a prize last night – although Susanna joked that she had “gagged” him as he appeared with a black band across his mouth.
“It's been a controversial week on ‘Good Morning Britain’. We've had tears, we've had tantrums – we've even had a walkout,” Reid told the audience after she took to the stage with Morgan. “So I've done what people have been urging me to do for some time… I've finally gagged Piers Morgan. Just enjoying this moment.”

Ranvir Singh, Charlotte Hawkins, Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway and Laura Tobin seen arriving at the 2016 ITV Gala held at the London Palladium Theatre - London, United Kingdom - Thursday 24th November 2016
The presenter tore one of the new £5 notes using his teeth, shocking co-host Susanna Reid live on the morning show.
Piers Morgan is used to landing himself in hot water with his antics, but did he finally go a bit too far on today’s ‘Good Morning Britain’? During a segment testing the durability of the Bank of England’s new £5 notes the presenter bit into one live on air managing to tear it, in a potentially illegal act.
Presenters Smith and Reid received scorn on social media for their treatment of Labour leadership candidate Owen Smith on Wednesday morning.
‘Good Morning Britain’ presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid have been widely condemned for “crucifying” the prospective Labour Party leadership candidate Owen Smith about bullying claims and Viagra use during a hugely awkward interview.
The politician, 46, is standing against Jeremy Corbyn in a bid to oust him as leader in the contest triggered earlier this month. However, though Smith was a guest on the show on Wednesday (July 20th) and was there to talk about his vision for Labour’s future under his leadership, Morgan and Reid seemed keener on grilling him about former claims of bullying and smutty questions about Viagra.
He was asked whether his 'EastEnders' storyline wedding had made him think about his own upcoming marriage. Cue hilarity...
Cockney cheeky chap Danny Dyer was on great form during a daytime TV appearance today, as he left viewers in stitches with his hilarious responses to Susanna Reid’s questions during an interview on ‘Good Morning Britain’.
Trying to prise some details out of Dyer about his upcoming wedding to his long-term partner Joanne Mas, the presenter asked him whether his current ‘Eastenders’ storyline, in which his character Mick Carter is getting married to Linda (Kellie Bright), had got him thinking about his own impending marriage.

The journalist and presenter will join Susanna Reid on the couch three days a week starting in November.
Piers Morgan has landed a new role, as a permanent member of the ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenting team. Morgan will appear on the morning show three days a week alongside co-host Susanna Reid, starting in November.
Piers Morgan has joined the 'Good Morning Britain' presenting team.
Speaking about the role Morgan told MailOnline ‘'I am very excited at the prospect of waking up at 3am every morning, and even more excited by the thought of how annoying Susanna is going to find me after a few months.”
Dan Stevens just couldn't help himself...
Susanna Reid had no idea. She thought the question was perfectly fine. This despite Downton Abbey actor Dan Stevens bursting into a fit of giggles and some of the 'Good Morning Britain' crew yelping from behind the cameras.
Dan Stevens couldn't help himself
So what was the question? Well, Stevens is in a new movie titled 'The Guest'. It's a relatively big American part and of course Reid wanted to know whether Stevens had pipped a couple of high profile stateside guys to the role.

Is 'Good Morning Britain' on the way out?
In football, should an under pressure manager get a vote of confidence from his chairman, it usually leads to the chop. With that in mind, it's interesting that ITV has come out and backed its ailing breakfast show Good Morning Britain following weeks of plummeting ratings.

According a report in The Sun, the month-old show is now facing the axe and must improve to a 15% audience share. However, if it fails to meet that target "it could just go and be replaced by cartoons."
Amid questions about ITV's salaries, did GMB's first episode justify the numbers?
Critics and viewers have flooded the internet with reviews of ITV’s latest breakfast programme, Good Morning Britain. The new show, modeled after the US format Good Morning America, features four hosts and a glass table, all engaged in a lively discussion on the hot topics of the day, with a few interruptions for weather, curiosity stories and, at least in the first edition – a Wheel of Fortune feature, presented by Andi Peters, directly from Kirkgate Market in Leeds. The show also marked former BBC presenter Susanna Reid’s ITV debut. The three other panelists are Ben Shephard, Sean Fletcher and Charlotte Hawkins.
Susanna Reid appeared perfectly at home on ITV.
Mostly, GMB received favorable reviews, with a few reviewers questioning the new format.

Susanna Reid makes her high profile debut on ITV next week.
ITV have been criticised by former TV-am presenter Nick Owen for paying huge salaries to its breakfast presenter, which he suggest turns off viewers. Owen's remarks come after the channel readies its new show Good Morning Britain, with Susanna Reid heading up proceedings on a hefty pay packet.

Owen said: "I joined TV-am (GMTV's predecessor) after a raft of big names had failed - David Frost, Michael Parkinson, Anna Ford, Angela Rippon.they'd not caught on with the viewers at all.

With the semi-finals set to hit our screens in a couple of weeks, we look at our favourites among the 'Strictly Come Dancing' six remaining contestants.
Yesterday (December 1st 2013) saw 'Waterloo Road''s get voted out of the competition in their tenth week after landing in the bottom two with Ashley Taylor Dawson and Ola Jordan following their lively 'Lion King' routine. They performed a samba to the popular Disney hit 'I Just Can't Wait To Be King' complete with lion inspired costumes and, alas, face paint.
