At 53-years-old Susan Boyle, who is known for having a lonely personal life, has finally found someone to share her success with as she is now in her first ever relationship, and the lucky man is an American doctor she met on tour.

The Scottish singer, who has recently diagnosed with autism, revealed to The Sun she met the new the mystery man while staying at the same hotel, and they later enjoyed a romantic meal together, during which he was the "perfect gentleman."

"I met a nice guy in America, who shall remain nameless," she said. "All I'll say is he's a doctor from Connecticut. I met him at the Safety Harbor Resort in Clearwater, Florida where I had a concert. We just got talking in the hotel and I thought he seemed friendly enough. He wasn't a fan but he knew who I was."

The former Britain's Got Talent contestant also hopes he will come and visit her home in West Lothian, Scotland.

"It's very early days so we'll see what happens," she continued. "I hope he comes over. I don't want to say any more about who he is right now as that would be unfair on him. All I'll say is we are around the same age and he was a very nice guy."

Boyle, who has sold more than 20 million records worldwide, just returned home after a 6 week-long tour of the US in support of her latest studio album 'Hope.'
