Singing sensation Susan Boyle is splashing out on a new house in her native Scotland after cashing in a bumper $6 million ($4 million) pay cheque.
The star, who shot to fame after appearing on Simon Cowell's reality TV show Britain's Got Talent, has made an offer on a five bedroom, three bathroom riverside property in Blackburn, West Lothian.
The house, which was on the market for $450,000 (£300,000), will be a significant upgrade from her modest three bedroom place, which was broken into in January (10).
Boyle was recently handed her first multi-million royalty cheque from the success of her debut album I Dreamed A Dream, which became the biggest-selling CD of 2009 in the U.K. and has sold more than 8.5 million copies worldwide.
The payout has come just in time for Boyle's birthday - the singer turns 49 on 1 April (10).
