Susan Boyle called police to her home on Tuesday (26Jan10) after discovering an intruder on her property.
The singing star returned to her house in West Lothian, Scotland after recording her vocal for a charity cover of R.E.M.'s Everybody Hurts for Simon Cowell's Haiti aid appeal.
But she was stunned to discover a man inside her home - and immediately called cops who detained a suspect in connection with the incident.
A police spokesperson says, "Lothian and Borders Police were called to an address in Blackburn at around 9.50pm yesterday following reports of a disturbance.
"A man was detained in connection with the incident and released pending further inquiries."
It's the second recent security scare for Boyle - she spotted two strangers creeping around her garden over Christmas (09), just weeks after her mentor Simon Cowell drafted in a bodyguard for her.
