Rockers Sum 41 have cancelled their upcoming European tour dates after their drummer was injured in a car accident.
The band was due to perform a string of shows, including an appearance at Britain's Download music festival later this month (Jun10), but the shows have now been scrapped after Steve Jocz was involved in a minor crash on 25 May (10).
A statement posted on the band's website reads, "Stevo was in a minor accident... and is unable to get on an airplane to fly to Europe to perform. Anyone who knows our band, knows that touring is our life and is the primary reason we play music. We are completely and utterly bummed out and we all wish Stevo a speedy recovery."
The band has apologised to fans and promised to reschedule the cancelled shows, adding, "We want to sincerely apologise to our fans in the cities we can't make it to and we promise to return to them in a few months. We will reschedule any dates that we unfortunately had to cancel in Europe ASAP."
