British rockers Suede insist on entering from the left of the stage for their gigs - because their shows have been "disastrous" when they appeared from the right.
The superstitious Animal Nitrate hitmakers have several pre-concert rituals, and bassist Mat Osman insists they are strict about carrying them out.
He tells Britain's Daily Express, "We have about 1,000 superstitions. We get to the gig two hours before, not to soak up the atmosphere but to run through arcane rituals and phrases that have to be said and songs that have to be sung.
"We have to come on the stage from the left and at a gig recently we couldn't. Out of thousands of gigs this has only happened twice and they've both been disastrous. Going on stage from the right makes me feel ill."
