The first official biography of British rockers Suede will reveal the inside story of frontman Brett Anderson's battle with drugs and the long-running feud with Blur.

The book will explain exactly what led Anderson to descend into a pit of drug hell, as well as why his relationship with Elastica's JUSTINE FRISCHMANN disintegrated, causing Suede to clash with her subsequent boyfriend and Blur singer DAMON ALBARN.

Original guitarist BERNARD BUTLER's bitter departure in 1996 will also be covered, as will the decision to recruit 17-year-old schoolboy RICHARD OAKES as his replacement.

SUEDE: LOVE AND POISON is written by the POSITIVITY band's long-time associate DAVID BARNETT, and will be published on 3 November (03).
