Yoko Ono - Yoko Ono And The Flaming Lips Deliver A Message Of Peace
Yoko Ono and The Flaming Lips turned a performance on U.S. Tv on Wednesday (02Oct13) into a platform to deliver a political message.
Ono and the band performed the Cheshire Cat Cry off of her album Take Me to the Land of Hell on the Late Show with David Letterman and used the segment to convey a message of peace.
During the performance, the singer chanted "Stop the violence. Stop all wars," while holding up a peace sign.
Flaming lips frontman Wayne Coyne appeared onstage holding a megaphone, shrouded in a hood before removing the disguise midway through the song.
Ono's message on the show is nothing new for the singer - she has been a peace activist since the 1960s.
