X-men: Days Of Future Past Sails Past $110 Million Mark Over U.s. Holiday Weekend

The new X-Men movie has raked in over $110 million (£69 million) in America over the four-day Memorial Day weekend.

Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past stormed to the top of the box office on Sunday (25May14) and continued its hold on the film chart with an official haul of $111 million (£69.4 million).

The Hollywood blockbuster has already balanced its $200 million (£125 million) budget thanks to the international market - outside America, the film brought in $171 million (£107 million).

Godzilla added almost $40 million (£25 million) to its monster haul in the U.S. over the weekend, while Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore's new family comedy Blended disappointed at three with an $18.2 million (£11.4 million) debut.
