Foster The People - 'Work addicts' Foster the People

Foster the People are ''addicted'' to work.

The 'Pumped Up Kicks' group's frontman Mark Foster only took a two month break after the success of their first album and world tour because he gets bored when he stays put for too long.

He exclaimed: ''I'm addicted to work. I need to compose and create. All the time! Up until now, I haven't really had time to enjoy my success.

''I had two months holiday. I went around India and Africa, climbed up Kilimanjaro, discovered Belize, Greece, Italy... It was a great break. I can't twiddle my thumbs for too long!''

The US group, also formed of Jacob 'Cubbie' Fink and Mark Pontius, have found it difficult to adjust to worldwide fame and were initially stumped about what their next move should be.

Mark said: ''It was complicated, it always is. You know, when you work hard and incessantly, [all three of us] have, you reach your goal and you say, 'Now what?' you're completely lost.''

The singer doesn't think he's famous and is more focused on his career, admitting he is considering branching out into art or acting.

He told ChartsInFrance.net: ''I don't think of myself as a star. Definitely not! I don't think about it and I don't want to think about it. I have never wanted to be famous. What matters for me is what I'm going to do next. I love puzzles. I like solving equations, wracking my brain and thinking about how I'm going to make it happen.

''For 10 years, my puzzle was how am I going to record an album. Now that 'Torches' is out, what's next? A second album? A third? And what if I wanted to do something else?

''Part of me would like to be an actor. A third part of me wants to be an artist. I need to be stimulated by another challenge, another mountain to climb. Luckily, I'm pragmatic enough to say, 'hey, you've already done the hard bit, make the most of it!' ''
