Members of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church are planning to protest Cher's upcoming concert in Missouri over her support for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (Lgbt) community.
The extremist group has branded the gay icon, whose son Chaz Bono is transgender, a "bundle of confusion" and the God-fearing activists will picket outside the Sprint Center in Kansas City when her Dressed to Kill concert comes to town on 31 May (14).
A message on their website reads, "(Cher) is known for her own filthy life, for failing to raise her daughter in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (sorry Chastity you're still a girl - chromosomes don't lie) and for encouraging people all over to engage in filth. She is one of the most recognized f** supporters there is."
The church's members are well-known for demonstrating outside concerts headlined by stars they claim support the Lgbt cause - they have protested outside gigs by Blake Shelton and the Foo Fighters in recent years.
