Ultimate Warrior - Ultimate Warrior's Lawyers Threaten Court Action Over Unauthorised Memorabilia
Lawyers for the Ultimate Warrior have fired off cease and desist letters to a string of merchandisers to ban them from selling unauthorised tribute memorabilia in the wake of the wrestler's death.
The 54-year-old star collapsed and died in Arizona after suffering a major heart attack on 8 April (14), days after he was inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment Inc (Wwe) Hall of Fame.
Online retailers became flooded with T-shirts and other items of clothing bearing the Ultimate Warrior's name and logo following his passing, but now attorneys for his Ultimate Creations marketing company have threatened more than 100 sellers with legal action in a bid to prevent them from cashing in on the tragedy, according to Tmz.com.
If the defendants fail to pull the items from sale, they could face lawsuits for trademark infringement.
