Inglourious Basterds - Tv Cop Diane Kruger Hates Guns

Inglourious Basterds star Diane Kruger hates playing gun-toting characters onscreen because she's not a fan of weapons.

The German actress, who is currently playing a cop in U.S. Tv drama The Bridge, admits she's not a natural shooter and doesn't enjoy pulling the trigger on make-believe bad guys.

She says, "I'm not very good at it. Maybe it's because I'm not American, but I don't like guns. I don't like anything that has to do with guns. I don't like people being shot in shows; I'd rather watch a sex scene.

"I nearly killed a New York Times reporter who was on set the very first day of the show... I was trying to look all professional and tell her about my character and I fumbled with my holster and the gun just dropped on her head... The review was not so great for me."
