Tracy Morgan was ''screaming for help'' after being involved in a car accident.
The '30 Rock' star - who sustained a number of injuries, including a broken femur, a broken nose and broken ribs, in the smash - shouted for assistance after the limo bus he was travelling in overturned when a Walmart van ploughed into it on the New Jersey Turnpike on Saturday (07.06.14) but his driver, Tyrone Gale, was unable to reach any of his trapped passengers, including writer James 'Jimmy Mack' McNair, who died at the scene.
Tyrone told the New York Daily News newspaper: ''I climbed around and heard Tracy screaming for help. I climbed up on the body of the limo bus... but I couldn't reach them... I just remember the impact.
''We didn't know which way was up, which way was down. I don't know if we flipped several times or one time. I saw the condition of everybody, and I knew it would just make it worse if I tried to pull them up and out of the vehicle.''
Another passenger in the limo, Harris Stanton, feels ''lucky'' to have survived the accident with just a broken wrist.
He said: ''I didn't get hurt as bad as they did. I was lucky... It's (McNair's death) sad. It's very sad.''
Tracy was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, along with his friend and travelling partner Ardie Fuqua.
Four other people were inside the truck with Tracy and Ardie, and six vehicles in total were involved in the crash.
The driver of the Walmart van, Kevin Roper, has been charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto.
