The Vamps - The Vamps want to work with Rizzle Kicks

The Vamps want to work with Rizzle Kicks.

The teen boyband would love to pen a track with the hip-hop duo, made up of Jordan Stephens and Harley Alexander-Sule, because they think their energy and stage presence is infectious.

Singer Brad Simpson told the Daily Star newspaper: ''There's scope for a featured artist on our album. Rizzle Kicks have said they'd love to write with us. I'd be great if that could happen.

''They don't get enough recognition for how good they are in concert - put us in a room together and the results would get everyone jumping.''

The 'Wild Heart' hitmakers - also featuring drummer Tristan Evans, guitarist James McVey and bassist Connor Ball - believe they have filled a gap in the market with their brand of instrument-playing pop, comparing themselves to McFly and Busted.

Brad said: ''We're about the only pop band offering something different to that now. That's great for us, because it means we can bring our own thing to the table. Pop fans had been missing a band until then.''

Tristan explained: ''These things go in cycles. You had McFly and Busted 10 years ago, now there's us and Lawson, who are slightly older. I think a new cycle of bands like us is due again.''

The foursome also claim their close-knit bond makes their music more authentic, unlike other bands like One Direction, who were put together on 'The X Factor'.

Guitarist James said: ''We've heard stories about bands who are more like colleagues than friends - that must be so awkward.''

Brad quipped: ''You can tell the bands who really get on from their charisma on stage. You can't fake the friendship we have.''
